Alpaca and merino keep insulating even when damp, so the cold of the snow and the sweat of the walk in don't reach your toes.
Merino is spun into the same yarn as the alpaca, so the sock springs back and stays up in the boot instead of sliding down.
A cotton sock slumps to the ankle and holds the sweat. The ALPATHERM™ stays up over the calf, warm from the walk in to the long sit.
Alpaca for the heat, merino for the shape, in an over-the-calf hunting sock: from the walk in through wet grass to the long sit in the snow.

Alpaca is warmer than wool for its weight, stays warm when damp and never itches. But the fibre is smooth and straight, with none of the natural crimp that gives wool its spring. So most alpaca socks slowly relax on your leg: by mid-morning they slide down inside the boot, bunch under the heel and wear through after one season.
ALPATHERM™ splits the job: 50% alpaca for the heat, 30% merino spun into the same yarn to give it shape, 16% nylon only in the core and where the boot rubs, and 4% elastane in the leg and cuff to hold it up without squeezing.
Wear them from the first frosty morning to the end of the season: in the stand or blind, on the walk in and on multi-day hunts. Machine wash cold (30 °C max) on a wool or gentle cycle, inside out, no bleach and no fabric softener. Dry flat, never in the tumble dryer.
Yes, a 90-day field-tested guarantee. Actually hunt in it. If it doesn't hold up or the size isn't right, contact us and we'll exchange it. Field use does not void the guarantee.
WARM AT FIRST LIGHT. STILL UP AT LAST LIGHT.
Cold feet end more sits than any buck ever did.
You climb in before dawn, sit still for hours, and the cold starts at your toes. Thin socks lose the fight. Thick wool itches and holds sweat from the walk in. And most alpaca socks, warm as they are, end up bunched around your ankle by mid-morning.
ALPATHERM™ fixes all three:
1. 50% alpaca that stays warm even when damp.
2. 30% merino spun into the same yarn, so the sock keeps its shape and stays up.
3. Thermal terry under the foot, and nylon only where the boot rubs.
Warm feet. All day. Stay for the last light.
An over-the-calf hunting sock in four field colours: alpaca for the heat, merino for the shape, nylon only where the boot rubs and thermal terry under the foot.

Alpaca and merino keep insulating when sweat from the walk in or melted snow gets into the boot.

Merino spun into the same yarn gives the alpaca spring, and a soft ribbed calf holds the sock in place without squeezing.

Thermal terry under the foot, heel and toes, a flat seamless toe, and nylon only at the heel and toe, where boots wear socks out.

Natural fibres with no chemical treatments. Rotate two pairs on a multi-day hunt and they stay fresh.
What customers say about our fleece-lined Complete Outdoor Set, the kit these socks were built to go with. ALPATHERM™ reviews will show here as they come in.
I went up a size to leave room for thicker layers, and I’m glad I did. The trousers cover my boots properly, and I can bend down without feeling restricted. Had it out on a cold, windy afternoon with some rain, and the wind protection was what I noticed most.

First morning out was windy and I wasnt constantly feeling it through my sleeves. Happy with that.
Good for the price. Pants are a little long on me but work fine over boots.
Wore it checking cameras before daylight. Normally come back with wet pant legs from the grass, this time much better 👍
The fleece is comfortable against my arms. I hate that cold slick feeling some jackets have inside.
Warm walking to the stand, had to unzip halfway there. Once I sat down I was glad I had it.
I hunt from the ground mostly and being able to crouch without fighting the pants is a big plus.
Fit the jacket fine, pants tighter than I expected around the thighs. Check both measurements.
Decent set but warmer than I need for a steep hike. Better when I'm moving slow or stopping alot.
Trousers slightly long but otherwise a decent fit. Plenty of room in the jacket with a jumper underneath.
Not as rustly as the cheap waterproofs I was wearing before. You can still hear it against branches.
I'd like a shorter leg option. Keeping it because the rest fits comfortably.
The jacket doesn't pull across my shoulders with the binoculars up. Much better fit than my old one.
Quiet enough for how I hunt. Wouldn't call any fabric completely silent.
Before I use jeans and get cold sitting. With this is more comfortable, specially early morning.

Been using mine for early morning trips and it has become my go-to set now. Warm enough with a layer under it and does not make loads of noise when walking.
Bought it for deer season. Comfortable walking in and enough room to sit without the waist digging into me.
I was not sure about ordering clothing online because sizing can be a mess, but this one actually fits right. Pants sit good over my boots and jacket has plenty room to move.

Not magic winter gear. Still wore my thermals underneath on a cold sit, but it worked well as the outer layer.
Expected the lining to be only in the jacket. Nice having it in the pants too.
I dont have a huge gear budget. Getting both pieces together made more sense for me than another expensive jacket.
Bought mainly for woodland stalking. Much nicer than having cold, damp trousers brushing against your legs all morning.
Been out in drizzle a couple of times and stayed comfortable. Haven't tested it in hours of heavy rain.
My usual problem is buying a warm jacket and forgetting my legs are still freezing. This sorts that rather well.

I checked the measurements instead of guessing my normal size. Glad I did, the fit isn't the same as my work clothes.
Value seems good so far. The real test will be how it looks after more wear and washing.
I order my normal size without checking. Pants tight for me with extra clothes under.

My legs usually get cold before anything else when I'm sitting in the stand. The lined pants made more difference than the jacket honestly.

Less swishing than my old rain jacket. Not completely silent but definitely an improvement.
I was tired of hunting in work jeans and whatever jacket I could find. Having an actual set is nice.

I can reach up and climb without the shoulders pulling tight. That was my biggest issue with the last jacket.

I do more sitting and watching than walking. The lining in the trousers is very welcome.
The collar comes up nicely. Still need a neck warmer when its properly windy.
Didn't want to spend silly money on kit I use a few weekends a month. Happy with the value.

First time using in wind and very happy. Still need gloves, my hands were cold 😅

Wore it all morning in wet grass and honestly stayed way drier than I expected. Fit is good too, not too tight when moving around. Really happy with it.

Got mine last week. First impression was the material feels heavier and better than it looks online. Used it twice already and no problems so far.

Very comfortable and lots of useful pockets. I was outside for almost the whole day and did not feel restricted at all. Delivery was also faster than expected.
Bought this to replace some really noisy waterproof pants. These are quieter moving slowly through cover.
The wind protection is the best bit for me. Out across open fields you notice it straight away.

Can sit down without the waistband cutting in. Sounds basic but plenty of outdoor trousers get that wrong.
The pants are the part I appreciate most. I already had warm jackets but nothing decent for sitting.
Jacket fits better than the pants on my build. Wish I had checked the waist more carefully.
My old jacket make noise every movement. This one less noise and more comfortable.

WHAT YOU GIVE UP WITH AN ALPACA-ONLY OR WOOL-ONLY SOCK
Alpaca only and wool only = socks knitted mainly from one of the two fibres. Alpaca is warm and soft but smooth, so on its own it relaxes; wool keeps its shape but coarse wool can itch. Features such as reinforcement, height and colours vary by brand.

Over-the-calf height keeps your shins warm on the stand, and the soft cuff never cuts in after hours of sitting still.

50% alpaca for heat, 30% merino for shape, 16% nylon for durability and 4% elastane for hold. Each fibre goes where it works best.

Breathing zone on the instep, light arch band and a cushioned sole for the miles before and after the sit.

Warm enough for cold sits in frost and snow inside an insulated or well-fitted hunting boot. Warmth always depends on your boots, how long you sit still and how wet your feet get on the walk in, so we don't print a temperature we haven't tested.
Shipping is free and tracked. Orders arrive in about 9 business days: around 2 to prepare your order and about 7 in transit. Your estimated delivery date is shown right under the Add to Cart button.
Pick by shoe size: M fits US men 6–8.5 (EU 39–42), L fits US men 9–11.5 (EU 43–46), XL fits US men 12–14.5 (EU 47–50). Between sizes, with wide calves or thick boot liners, go one size up. Wrong size? Free exchange, worldwide.
That is exactly what we built them not to do. Most alpaca socks relax because alpaca fibre has no natural crimp. We spin 30% merino into the same yarn to give it shape memory, add 4% elastane in the leg and cuff, and use a ribbed calf so the sock stays up without squeezing.
Forest Green and Bark Brown suit woods and timber. Coyote Tan suits fields, grass and prairie. Charcoal goes with everything, on and off the hunt. Inside the boot, all four work the same.
No. We use fine alpaca and fine merino only, no coarse fibre. Alpaca has no lanolin, so most people who find wool itchy can wear it.
Wrong size? Free exchange, worldwide. Send the socks back unworn and, once they arrive, we ship you the right size free.
