Gloves warm enough for a three-hour sit are too thick to feel the trigger, the release or the call. Thin shooting gloves are fine until your fingers go numb at first light.
A muff splits the job: wear thin gloves or none, keep both hands together in thick sherpa fleece (with a hand warmer if you want) and slide them out in a second when the moment comes.
